Sailing Into Spring...
 | | PARTAGAS Churchill Deluxe | Origin: Cuba | Manufacturer: Habanos, SA | Size: 7 x 47 | Filler: Cuba | Binder: Cuba | Wrapper: Cuba | | Panelist #1 | This one stayed with me a while! I wouldn’t give it to a newbie, but vets like me should savor it. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Smoke this one with a drink that can hold its own - like a single malt or small-batch bourbon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | For a cigar this size, I expected more complexity of flavor. If you’re looking for power, though, this is it. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | I would fill up a whole humidor with these babies. Try one, and, after a steak dinner, you will crave one! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | FLOR DE LOS REYES Torpedo | Origin: DR | Manufacturer: CTI Tobacco | Size: 6 1/2 x 52 | Filler: DR | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Indo | | Panelist #1 | An absolute pleasure to smoke. This cigar would go very well with an aged, small-batch bourbon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Here’s a smoke that a veteran would enjoy and a junior smoker would enjoy “stepping up” to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Other than inconsistent wrapper colors, this one’s a winner. Time in the box should make it even better. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | Even if it costs more than $.05, this cigar is exactly what this country needs! Savor it after a special meal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | CARLOS TORAÑO EXODUS 1959 Torpedo | Origin: Hon | Manufacturer: Torano Cigars | Size: 6 1/4 x 54 | Filler: Hon/Nic | Binder: Hon | Wrapper: Hon | | Panelist #1 | At the proper price, this would be a definite go-to cigar. I’m wondering if it’s a Carlos Torano Exodus 1959... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Please, sir, may I have some more? This fellow stood up well to a tawny port. Perfect after a hard day’s work. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | This cigar looks beautiful and starts great, but has a lackluster finish. I wouldn’t call it suited to a veteran. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | I could smoke these cigars all day long! I hope they’re not too pricey, because I want to buy a lot of ‘em! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | DON TOMÁS CAMEROON COLLECTION Double Corona | Origin: Hon | Manufacturer: U.S. Cigar Sales | Size: 7 1/2 x 52 | Filler: DR/Br/Mex | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Cam | | Panelist #1 | I’ve been smoking for 40 years, and this is one of the best! Paired up with cognac, it’s a grand experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | This brute’s not much to look at, but once lit, it’s great! It matched up very well with a Black Russian. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | The aroma won’t win you any compliments, but some aging will push this baby up a notch or two. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | A great partner for any meal, and a perfect match to a light port. Aging this fellow should make a real treat. RECOMMENDED |
 | | BAHIA GOLD Maduro No. 2 | Origin: Nic | Manufacturer: Bahia Cigars | Size: 6 x 54 | Filler: DR | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | Remaining flawless throughout, this cigar was a magnificent accompaniment to some live jazz with friends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Experienced hands must’ve rolled these. If you don’t own a humidor, buy one so it can hold these! RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Smoking this one required patience on my part. There’s a good cigar in here; maybe age can bring it out. FAIR | | Panelist #4 | Construction flaws were minor. This cigar is best served with a dram of Scotch, after a heavy evening meal. RECOMMENDED |

 | | BUCANERO El Capitan Natural | Origin: Nic | Manufacturer: Bucanero Cigars | Size: 6 1/2 x 50 | Filler: Nic/DR | Binder: Ecu | Wrapper: Ecu | | Panelist #1 | All the samples were delightful. This cigar is rolled and blended by a pro. If I could’ve smoked more, I would! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | All samples were consistent. I could enjoy these any time of day; are these Don Tomas Dominicans? RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Construction flaws took away from the experience. Someone’s trying hard for quality here; don’t give up! MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | This cigar can best be described as consistent. No one aspect was outstanding, but together it’s all good! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | CENTENARIO Classic C | Origin: Nic | Manufacturer: Felipe Gregorio, Inc. | Size: 5 x 52 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Nic | | Panelist #1 | Great construction, fine flavor; what more could you ask? This slow burning stick went well with a Pacifico. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Not a bad smoke at all, but one I would have to be convinced to spend money on. If the price is right... MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | I’d call this a respectable “go-to” cigar for when time is short. The size is right, and the flavor’s decent. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | Great consistency throughout the samples. A sassy cigar, and a perfect matchup with a Jack Daniel’s. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | THE CIGAR Robusto | Origin: Nic | Manufacturer: Tabacalera Perdomo | Size: 5 x 50 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Nic | | Panelist #1 | This cigar is ideal for closing out the evening after a hearty dinner. It’s consistent, and a joy to smoke. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | This cigar has strong Nicaraguan characteristics; it’s probably a Tabacalera Perdomo product. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | It was as much a joy to smoke as it was to look at. Perfect choice for dinner or closing out the evening. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | This cigar paired up well with a tall glass of merlot. Recommended for its taste and consistency. RECOMMENDED |
 | | ESTAVAN CRUZ Corona Gigante Maduro | Origin: DR | Manufacturer: Estavan Cruz | Size: 7 x 54 | Filler: DR/Nic/Braz | Binder: Ecu | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | This big flavored cigar brings to mind a leisurely afternoon at the ballpark. Put them in your rotation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | My favorite of all the samples - consistently marvelous and tasty. Please send me some more! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | We have a winner. This was a worthy partner to the 12-year-old single malt that I drank alongside it. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | This was an excellent, any-time-of-day cigar. A good change of pace from the trend of ultra-strong cigars. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | DAVIDOFF MILLENNIUM BLEND Lonsdale | Origin: DR | Manufacturer: Davidoff | Size: 6 x 43 | Filler: DR | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Ecu | | Panelist #1 | Whoever rolled these babies knew exactly what he was doing. This is a must-have smoke for anybody! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Pair this up with a ruby port, or for some real fun, with some Southern Comfort on a boys’ night out. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | A fine-looking cigar that went downhill after being lit. I’d still smoke it out on the golf course, however. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | I’m on my way to buy another humidor so these babies can have a home! Ass-kickingly excellent! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
