 | | CUBAN PAREJO Corona Gigante | Country: NIc | Manufacturer: Tabacalera Perdomo | Size: 7 1/2 x 56 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Nic | | Panelist #1 | A bit challenging for a beginner, this big boy is certain to be appreciated by a sophisticated smoker’s palate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | All samples were identical in appearance and flavor. If only the substance were as great as the show... MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | This one looks better than it performs or tastes. Maybe some aging would add some depth to this cigar. FAIR | | Panelist #4 | A very pleasant hour or so was spent with this one. This cigar would be enjoyed by many types of smoker. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | FONSECA SUN-GROWN CEDAR No. 1 | Country: DR | Manufacturer: SAG/MATASA | Size: 6 1/2 x 44 | Filler: DR/Nic/Peru | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | Not as rich as I expected, this one’s still a well-balanced, flavorful cigar, one that would be great for golfing. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I came, I smoked, I enjoyed. Not an eye-catching cigar, but a good, consistent one; perfect for morning. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | The construction was so good, it almost made up for what it lacked in flavor. Perfect if you like ‘em mild. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | I don’t usually reach for this shape, but I enjoyed this cigar. It reminded me of my favorite Hondurans. RECOMMENDED |
 | | BAHIA TRINIDAD Pancho | Country: Nic | Manufacturer: Bahia Cigars | Size: 5 1/2 x 52 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Ecu | | Panelist #1 | Other than a few slight construction problems, this was an enjoyable smoke that I’d add to my humidor. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I’d point a beginner in its direction if the price is right; this would also make a good morning cigar. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | Not my favorite of the tasting. Some samples are better than others, but consistency needs work. FAIR | | Panelist #4 | Overall, I found this cigar to be a pleasant experience. The burn problem was the only thing against it. RECOMMENDED |
 | | CONDAL Robusto | Country: Can Isl | Manufacturer: CITA | Size: 5 2/3 x 50 | Filler: Braz/DR | Binder: Mex | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | This is a well-rounded smoke, ideal for a newbie, or even as a morning treat for an experienced smoker. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | The one thing these cigars had going for them was consistency; a good thing, if you like this kind of smoke. FAIR | | Panelist #3 | Way too far on the mild side for me, but a good choice for a morning smoke, and definitely for a novice. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | A fine lunch smoke. It would make a perfect companion to an afternoon cup of good Jamaican coffee. RECOMMENDED |
 | | TREASURER Grand Robusto | Country: DR | Manufacturer: Chancellor Tobacco Co, | Size: 5 x 50 | Filler: DR | Binder: Cam | Wrapper: DR | | Panelist #1 | Extremely consistent in quality, this cigar is a terrific partner to a morning coffee. Anyone would enjoy it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | This was a fine cigar, especially for a beginner, but engendered no particular taste sensations. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | Not a bad cigar, and some aging in the humidor might reduce the acidity and make it even better. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | This cigar smoked as good as it looked. I smoked them on the deck before dinner with a Pilsner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |

It’s perfect with a breakfast espresso and the New York Times. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | A three-dimensional cigar whose characteristics won me over. Now where did I put my 3-D glasses? RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | After admiring its great looks and fine construction, I was disappointed in the flavor. OK for a beginner. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | A good beginner cigar. For an experienced smoker, a good choice for golf or as a give-away for celebrating. RECOMMENDED |
 | | CAMACHO COROJO Churchill | Country: Hon | Manufacturer: Caribe Imports | Size: 7 x 48 | Filler: Hon | Binder: Hon | Wrapper: Hon | | Panelist #1 | Strong on the finish is how I like ‘em, so I enjoyed this one. A good 40 minutes of smokin’ pleasure. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | The cigar entices you with its looks and doesn’t quite live up to them in performance. Blend needs work. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | This cigar goes well with a stout or double bock. But be sure to smoke it in the evening, on a full stomach. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | It fired up like a stroker motor, then mellowed into a nice ride. You’ll smoke it so short your lips will burn! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | CARLOS TORANO EXODUS 1959 Double Corona | Country: Hon | Manufacturer: Torano Cigars | Size: 7 1/4 x 50 | Filler: Hon/Nic | Binder: Hon | Wrapper: Hon | | Panelist #1 | The Blue Ribbon winner! Hope a box of these won’t break the bank. An impressive cigar for any occasion. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Every cigar lover should try this. Its size makes it perfect for sitting back to watch a good football game. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Although not a fan of the box-press, I would definitely smoke these again, especially after some aging. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | A magnificent smoke for any humidor, ideal with a single malt Scotch after a good T-bone steak. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |

RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Not the prettiest construction in the world, but the flavors were worth plowing through the imperfections. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | I had to wait a little too long for this one to kick in with some exciting flavor. Age could take the edge off. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | I’ll be making room in the humidor for these as soon as I find out what they are. Perfect with a Courvoisier. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
