 | | A. TURRENT Robusto | Country: Mex | Manufacturer: Tabacalera A. Turrent | Size: ? | Filler: Mex | Binder: Mex | Wrapper: Mex | | Panelist #1 | First-rate all around; I would get a box of these for the humidor. Mine went well with a Napolean cognac. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I enjoyed this one all the way down to the end, and would recommend it to just about any type of smoker. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | This one’s a Hall of Famer, great with espresso. For the experienced only, though: it’ll kick your butt! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | The best of the samples. This is a fantastic cigar for after dinner and with your favorite stiff drink. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | BUCANERO Primero Maduro | Country: Nic | Manufacturer: Bucanero Cigars | Size: 6 x 52 | Filler: DR/Nic | Binder: Ecu | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | This cigar rang my bell and then some. I ended up putting a butt in a pipe so I could finish smoking it all! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I couldn’t think of a wrong time for this cigar. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s got all the bases covered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Variation in quality keep ‘em off my “can’t live without” list. But it matched well with an India Pale Ale. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | My taste runs toward the stronger types, but it’s a good afternoon smoke, pleasant and consistent. RECOMMENDED |
 | | DON KIKI LIMITED RESERVE 2000 Robusto | Country: Nic | Manufacturer: Corona Cigar Co. | Size: 5 x 50 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Nic | | Panelist #1 | An ideal cigar to have with before-dinner drinks. Definitely a step up from most medium-bodied sticks. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | A good morning cigar, reminiscent of an Ashton Magnum or a Butera. I’d recommend it for a change of pace. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | This one reminded me of a La Luna. Some aging may mellow out some of the sharpness in the blend. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | Kudos for this cigar’s look and consistent performance. I smoked these with a 15-year old highland malt. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | THE CIGAR Churchill | Country: Nic | Manufacturer: Tabacalera Perdomo | Size: 7 x 50 | Filler: Nic | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Nic | | Panelist #1 | Simply, it’s a cigar that lets you know you’re smoking a cigar; good from first puff to last. Send more! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I believe aging these cigars for six months or so will make them great. Feel free to send me a box... MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | A consistently pleasant all-day smoke. I found it the perfect follow-up to a light lunch and a beer. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | Overall, a nice cigar for later in the day. Depending on price and availability, I would acquire a box. RECOMMENDED |
 | | CACIQUE MARTIN FAMILY SERIES Nicole | Country: DR | Manufacturer: Tropical Tobacco | Size: 4 3/4 x 51 | Filler: DR/Nic | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Cam | | Panelist #1 | This appealing cigar became my morning smoke, with a mug of Costa Rican peaberry and the sunrise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Pour some more black coffee and fire up one of these. I can’t think of a better way to start the day. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Spicy but not overpowering, I’d reach for this one if the proice is right. A good 20-minute, after-dinner smoke. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | If every cigar tasted like this, there’d be a work stoppage just to smoke. It goes great with a glass of Scotch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |

 | | LA AURORA Belicoso | Country: DR | Manufacturer: La Aurora | Size: 6 1/4 x 52 | Filler: DR | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Braz | | Panelist #1 | This cigar went equally well with a lager, a cappuccino, and an evening dram of single-barrel bourbon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | This is a good cigar for kicking back and watching sports. It burns real slow and doesn’t knock you out. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Not enough “oomph” to be a regular smoke, but I’d certainly keep a few in the humidor for golf smoking. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | An ideal cigar for a leather chair, a fireplace, a snifter of brandy, and a few solitary hours with a good book. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | AVO SIGNATURE Robusto | Country: DR | Manufacturer: Davidoff | Size: 5 x 52 | Filler: DR | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Ecu | | Panelist #1 | Though perhaps too much for beginners, this spicy smoke is a delight, especially with a full-bodied merlot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | This one is a keeper, even for those who love stronger cigars. Many of these will find a way to my humidor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | While this cigar’s complexity lends to repeated enjoyment, I’d save it for weekends or special occasions. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | This is one good, easy-smoking stogie. Pour yourself a cold one and enjoy it all the way to the end. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | VEGAS ROBAINA Unicos | Country: Cuba | Manufacturer: Habanos SA | Size: 6 1/8 x 52 | Filler: Cuba | Binder: Cuba | Wrapper: Cuba | | Panelist #1 | Construction was topnotch and the flavors tantalized me all the way to the end. An after-dinner treat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Even though the flavor never really got off the ground, this smoke made a decent companion to a Scotch. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #3 | These cigars are consistent in their fine construction, and some age would develop their flavor potential. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | Once in a while, a cigar comes along that has me break out the good, aged cognac. This is one of ‘em! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | LICENCIADOS Invencible | Country: DR | Manufacturer: Mike's Cigars | Size: 5 x 50 | Filler: DR | Binder: DR | Wrapper: Cam | | Panelist #1 | I like stronger smokes, but this one is a dependable, change-of-pace cigar that I would smoke again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | I would call this a beginner’s smoke, but it’s also one I would have in the morning with a cappucino. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | Pack it a little tighter, age the young tobacco a bit, and this cigar could become a winner, and a go-to treat. MAY RECOMMEND | | Panelist #4 | This cigar was a great accompaniment to a Jack Daniel’s. Fans of all types of smokes will appreciate it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
 | | LA PERLA HABANA BLACK PEARL Gran Corona | Country: DR | Manufacturer: La Perla Habana | Size: 5 3/4 x 46 | Filler: DR | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Conn | | Panelist #1 | Time to make more room in the humidor. This was a fantastic maduro, packed with flavor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | Not unpleasant, just not all there, uin my opinion. Possibly, aging will iron out some of the inconsistencies. FAIR | | Panelist #3 | I prefer a cigar where I can taste the tobacco more. If you like this style , it does go well with an espresso. FAIR | | Panelist #4 | This ugly duckling has it where it counts: flavor! A must-try for any experienced maduro lover. RECOMMENDED |
 | | INDIAN TABAC SUPER FUERTE Corona Maduro | Country: Hon | Manufacturer: Indian Tabac | Size: 5 1/4 x 43 | Filler: Nic/Hon/C.R. | Binder: Nic | Wrapper: Costa R. | | Panelist #1 | This burned slow for a robusto, making for a good kick-back smoke, ideal with a glass of red wine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #2 | The cigar reminds me of some of the Hondurans I’ve tried. I’d age it to bring out more of its promise. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #3 | I wouldn’t hand one out to a beginner or puff one in the daytime, but I’d reach for one after a big meal. RECOMMENDED | | Panelist #4 | A cigar meant for the boldest palates only. This cigar cries out for a port or cognac accompaniment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |
